McMenamins Announces Limited Edition IPA Series

It's no secret we're fond of McMenamins! With all of the historic locations, unique artwork, and quirky nature it is easy to be a fan. We have heard people complain about The Kingdom before, but we've always stuck by their side. One of the most common complaints is about the long standing flagship beers. When at a McMenamins remember if you are tired of the main line-up, you can always go with one of the more creative one-offs. Now that McMenamins has given their brewers the freedom to play around, it could be one of the best beers you've ever had! We're excited to share this new rotating series with you...

From press release.
McMenamins Announces Limited Edition IPA Series

Despite the weather, it’s now officially spring. And with the season comes warmer temperatures, patios and delicious IPA’s. To help Oregonians enjoy this time of year to its fullest, no matter where they are, McMenamins is proud to announce its limited edition Canned IPA Series.

Join us as we release the first set of cans in a series of limited release one-offs! This tropical beast of a beer was made by the guys out at McMenamins Edgefield and you're going to love getting a little psychedelic staring at this label.

The inaugural beer in this new series is Captain Neon’s Mango Double IPA. This hoppy concoction is brewed and dry-hopped with Amarillo, Citra, Mosaic and Chinook hops, and over 650 pounds of mango puree from Oregon Fruit Products. A powerful medley of bold and tropical fruit scents elevate this double IPA, and remind you that warmer weather is just around the corner.

McMenamins’ Limited Edition IPA Series will only be available in 16 oz. cans, sold exclusively at the company’s Oregon retail locations. Other planned beers for the series include Alienator IPA (releasing May 1, in time for the 18th annual UFO Festival) and Sunflower IPA (releasing July 1).
