Name: Backdraught
Hometown: Portland, OR
Favorite Beer: My favorite beer leans on the IPA’s usually Ninkasi is my go-to, as for my wife she loves her some Hefs.
Favorite Beer Haunt: When we do go out we usually frequent Lightning Will Bar and Grill off on NW 21 its a great spot, delicious food and a great selection of beers on tap
What was the first craft brew you ever tried? What did you think? The first craft brew I ever tried was actually when I moved to Portland in 2008 and it was Widmer Hefeweizen with an orange slice of course. :) I just loved the smooth taste and crispness that it had to offer my tastebuds lol, and thus began my love for craft beers
Do you homebrew? If yes, favorite homebrew to date: We are currently brewing a signature pale ale with the guys over at U-brew in Milwaukie, OR, its a delicious Pale Ale, hoping to get an IPA in the works soon as well.
How’d you hear about the pdxbeergeeks? I actually was doing research on beer festivals and blogs and came across your blog site on Google. I took a gander at some of the articles and decided to see if we could contact you guys and get an interview. Lucky for us you responded. :) lol

If you could change one thing about beer culture in the US, what would it be? I wish that everyone in the U.S. understood the mastery and art that goes into making good delicious craft beer.
What do you love about Portland’s Craft Beer scene? Really what we love about the craft beer scene is the variety and the fact that there is always new yummy beers coming out of the wood works. It's pretty amazing.
What inspired your local business? Tell us a little bit about yourself. We are Jermaine and Sajehsky Malone, a husband and wife who reside in Beaverton, OR. We love vintage cars, trucks and of course yummy craft beers, so when the opportunity arose to acquire a vintage firetruck with a draft system we jumped at it, we have been working on updating the truck and have added a propane grill to the front of the truck to bring not only tasty craft beers, but also tasty burgers and dogs.
Where can we find you on the web? You can check out our website at backdraughtpdx.com there are links to our Facebook and Twitter pages on the site.
