Part Two: The return home from Eastern Oregon: Guest Post by @DrSci

... continued from Friday's post...

For the rest of the trip (turns out I hit 4 out of 6 on the Barley Trail), we made it to:

Beer Valley, Ontario, OR. (bottles , 4 taps for samples & growler fills only, no pub, odd hours – 2 to 6 Thurs/Friday, 11-3 Sat.)   Ended up with a case of beer…

Highlands Hollow, Boise, ID.  Full pub, open at 11am, good food, no taster trays, first pint at lunch hour was $1.50.  Liked the Hippie Shake.

Prodigal Son, Pendleton, OR. – good food, the beer was good, have to go with Tyler on this one.  I really liked the Fatted Calf stout, but Barley Brown’s was still the overall winner of the trip.

Mt. Emily Alehouse, La Grande, OR.     . . . . I was warned . . . .but I didn’t listen . . . my mistake . . .

On the way home:
Full Sail Brewing, Hood River, OR.  – this is the Brewmaster’s Reserve tray – decent.  The Old Boardhead 2011 needs to age some more…
